In the process of commercial transactions, it is particularly important to conduct appropriate quality evaluations of printed materials. The complexity of color printing technology is well known, and the production of a printed material often requires more than ten steps, involving companies, staff, etc. Different environments and times also have different evaluation methods or requirements for printed materials. So in this process, it is necessary to establish some standards and corresponding observation conditions.
Therefore, only by limiting external factors such as the environment can we subjectively evaluate printed materials, which can be considered fair and objective, and reduce disputes caused by the environment. Therefore, a standard lighting environment and standard light sources are necessary.
Color difference of printed materials
Color difference can be divided into (1) original color difference: reproducing the color tone of the original is the purpose of printing and copying, and the highest subjective evaluation standard is to make the printed matter and the original difficult to distinguish between true and false. (2) Same batch color difference: refers to the color error between different printed sheets of the same batch of products in the same color zone and position. (3) Similarities and Differences Batch Color Difference: Refers to the color error between different batches of the same product. If the colors printed in each batch are slightly different, when they are put together, customers will feel that these products have a distinction between old and new, and even doubt whether their internal quality will be as unstable as their appearance, which will cause distrust of the product and naturally lead to dissatisfaction of the manufacturer with the quality of the printing factory's products.
As both customers and printers hope that the value of this color error is preferably zero, but due to various limitations in actual production conditions, it is impossible to completely eliminate color errors. Only by strengthening quality control in each link can the color quality difference of the product be controlled within the specified color difference standard. Color tolerance refers to the color difference between the printed material and the original or draft sample that the customer can accept.
